Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise networks
- Develop and implement security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with forensic teams during breach investigations and root cause analysis
- Generate executive-level security reports with actionable risk mitigation strategies
- Stay current on emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds and research
- Lead security awareness training sessions for cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong scripting capabilities (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) compliance frameworks
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
