Role Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and implementing robust security measures to safeguard the organization from evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to security incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection.
- Enforce compliance with internal policies and external regulations (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure network configurations.
- Perform threat hunting and analyze logs to detect potential breaches.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate audit trails.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or SANS GIAC are highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in network security or incident response.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
- Proficiency with security tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, Tenable, Snort).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
