Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and compile detailed incident reports
- Develop and implement security controls to protect critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Create and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint detection solutions
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment
