We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite security operations center in the heart of Washington, DC. Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and SIEM data to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct rigorous vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate system weaknesses.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, containment, and recovery procedures.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to federal standards such as NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA through regular audits and policy updates.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement robust security controls and firewalls.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on emerging threats and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC GSEC certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and Endpoint Detection (CrowdStrike).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical findings to executive leadership.
