Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM and EDR technologies
- Lead incident response for complex security breaches, including post-mortem analysis
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-prem systems
- Develop security automation frameworks using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security architecture or threat hunting
- CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security services and cloud security posture management
- Proficiency in network protocols, encryption, and authentication systems
- Experience with Splunk, Qualys, or similar security tools
- Strong background in threat intelligence and zero-trust architecture
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (existing clearance preferred)
