Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Lead incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and remediation
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into system architectures
- Provide expert guidance on compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security incidents and prepare executive-level reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption
- Proven experience with incident response and forensic investigation
- Ability to work independently in remote settings while collaborating effectively
