Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and triage security alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough log analysis and forensic investigations into security incidents and breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and security documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and implement security controls.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
