Role Overview:
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for monitoring security operations, conducting deep-dive investigations, and developing robust security frameworks. Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders during cyber security breaches.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry regulations (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Perform threat hunting and adversarial simulation to proactively identify zero-day exploits.
- Provide expert security guidance to development and operations teams to embed security best practices (DevSecOps).
- Generate detailed incident reports and produce metrics for executive leadership regarding security posture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related field.
- Active CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to critical security incidents.
