Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and post-incident recovery.
- Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure architecture design and deployment.
- Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and industry trends to proactively mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or IT security operations.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
