Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts in real-time using SIEM platforms like Splunk or Sentinel.
- Investigate and triage potential security breaches and malware incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Collaborate with IT engineering to patch vulnerabilities and harden system architectures.
- Document incidents, create reports, and participate in post-incident reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Active certification such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, Security+, or CySA+.
- 3+ years of professional experience in SOC analysis, incident response, or network security.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting is a strong plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
