Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts within the SIEM environment.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and intrusion detection systems.
- Investigate security breaches, perform incident response, and execute forensics analysis.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure infrastructure deployment and patch management.
- Provide security awareness training to staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Proven experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), VPNs, and web security.
- Proficiency in security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, Snort, or FireEye.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
