Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Analyze network traffic logs to identify anomalous activities and potential attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies across cloud and on-premise environments
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat detection roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to secure facilities
