Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident response coordination.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and awareness training programs for employees.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design secure network architectures and infrastructure.
- Analyze log data and traffic patterns to identify suspicious activities and emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is strongly desired.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
