Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and post-incident recovery documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Investigate suspicious activities and produce detailed reports for stakeholders and executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related role.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems (EDR).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for security automation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and act decisively under pressure.
