Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Perform threat intelligence analysis to predict and mitigate potential cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency with Python or Bash scripting for automation and security tooling.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
