Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security incidents, analyze logs, and coordinate incident response efforts.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, CIS, and HIPAA standards.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and anti-malware solutions.
- Provide guidance on security best practices to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC analysis.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with SIEM tools, scripting (Python/Bash), and automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
