Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk/SolarWinds) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, conducting root cause analysis and implementing remediation strategies.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement robust security controls, firewalls, and access management policies.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA through audits and policy enforcement.
- Training: Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees and conduct regular phishing simulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ required; GCIH preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, SOC operations, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection (EDR), and network traffic analysis tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
