Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
- Resolve hardware/software issues via remote desktop and on-site support
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including VPN setups and intrusion detection
- Document network changes, configurations, and maintenance schedules
- Collaborate with cloud providers (AWS/Azure) for hybrid network solutions
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network outages and performance bottlenecks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in network administration and troubleshooting
- CCNA/CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent
- Proficiency with Cisco routers/switches and Palo Alto firewalls
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configuration
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Michigan driver's license for occasional on-site visits
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
