Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware components
- Collaborate with government agencies on post-quantum cryptography standards
- Author patents and peer-reviewed publications on quantum supremacy breakthroughs
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Track record of securing $1M+ in research grants
- Experience leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
- Clearance for DoD quantum security initiatives preferred
