Responsibilities
- Design and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality across various platforms and browsers.
- Bug Identification: Conduct thorough manual and automated testing to identify, document, and track software defects and bugs.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing system features.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and resolve issues efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed test logs, bug reports, and test metrics to provide transparency into the testing process.
- Quality Standards: Enforce quality standards and ensure deliverables meet both business requirements and user expectations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
- Programming: Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript is a plus.
- Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL for database querying and data validation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile/Scrum: Experience working in an Agile or Scrum development environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
