Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine prompt architectures for large language models (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)
- Create test cases and evaluate AI response quality using quantitative/qualitative metrics
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate prompt engineering into customer-facing applications
- Document prompt libraries and best practices for engineering teams
- Research emerging NLP techniques and implement iterative improvements
- Train stakeholders on prompt engineering methodologies
- Monitor production AI systems and optimize for accuracy, bias reduction, and efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years in AI/NLP, machine learning, or related technical role
- Proven experience with prompt engineering for production systems
- Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with Hugging Face/Transformers
- Expertise in designing human-AI interaction workflows
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects
- Ability to work autonomously with flexible hours (20-40 hrs/week)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
