Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Prompt Engineer to join our elite team in Irvine, CA. As a key player in our AI division, you will bridge the gap between complex language models and real-world application. You will be responsible for crafting, optimizing, and refining prompts that drive the performance of our proprietary Large Language Models (LLMs).
In this role, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to deploy AI solutions that are not only efficient but also ethically sound and highly user-centric. If you are passionate about the intersection of linguistics and machine learning, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Design & Optimization: Develop sophisticated prompt engineering strategies to maximize the accuracy and utility of LLM outputs for various use cases.
- Model Training: Collaborate with the research team to fine-tune pre-trained models and implement Chain-of-Thought reasoning in prompt structures.
- Output Evaluation: Create rigorous evaluation frameworks to assess the quality of AI responses and iterate on prompt designs based on feedback.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of prompt libraries, best practices, and system instructions to ensure knowledge transfer across the organization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers to integrate prompt management systems directly into the product workflow.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in NLP, Machine Learning, or a related technical field with a focus on LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Llama).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking skills with a proven track record of solving complex logic and language ambiguity problems.
