Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive manual and automated test scripts to identify software defects and anomalies.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolutions.
- Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data sets.
- Perform regression testing on new builds and software updates to ensure existing functionality remains intact.
- Document all bugs and issues in JIRA, providing clear steps to reproduce for developers.
- Communicate test results, risk assessments, and quality metrics to the project manager effectively.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new testing tools to enhance quality assurance processes.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA) testing.
- Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and at least one automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
- Strong understanding of SQL for database validation and RESTful API testing.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla is highly preferred.
