Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize advanced prompts for GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary AI systems
- Collaborate with product teams to align prompt strategies with business objectives
- Document prompt engineering frameworks and best practices for internal knowledge base
- Conduct A/B testing to refine prompt efficacy and output quality
- Develop creative prompt solutions for complex client use cases in healthcare, finance, and logistics
- Monitor emerging AI capabilities and integrate cutting-edge techniques into workflows
- Maintain version control for prompt libraries and performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in prompt engineering or NLP-focused AI development
- Portfolio demonstrating 15+ prompt engineering projects with measurable outcomes
- Expertise in Python and API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Deep understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Exceptional written communication with ability to distill complex concepts
- Certification in AI/ML or relevant field (Google, AWS, or equivalent)
- Proven ability to work autonomously while meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with Kansas City's tech ecosystem preferred
