Responsibilities
- Design, test, and refine prompt engineering strategies for GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary AI models
- Collaborate with data scientists to align prompts with machine learning objectives
- Document prompt libraries and best practices for cross-functional teams
- Conduct A/B testing to evaluate prompt effectiveness and iterate based on performance metrics
- Develop prompt templates for client-specific AI applications in regulated industries
- Maintain version control for prompt iterations and optimize for cost-efficiency
- Train junior staff on prompt engineering methodologies and ethical AI practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years experience with prompt engineering for LLMs (GPT, Claude, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt optimization projects
- Strong analytical skills with experience in A/B testing methodologies
- Understanding of NLP concepts and transformer architectures
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
