Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts.
- Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Document network topology, configurations, and changes.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and peripherals.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify potential threats.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent technical training is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper networking equipment.
- Ability to lift and move network equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
