Responsibilities
- Network Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal network performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts efficiently.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Perform fiber and copper cabling, termination, and labeling (cat6, fiber optics) to meet organization standards.
- Security Protocols: Assist in implementing and maintaining network security measures, including VPNs and access controls.
- Hardware Support: Deploy and manage end-user devices (laptops, printers, servers) and peripherals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configurations, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: CCNA, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in network administration or IT support.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (office, server room, field).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
