Responsibilities
- Network Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software network issues efficiently.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Perform physical cabling tasks, including fiber and copper, and rack-and-stack equipment.
- Security: Assist in implementing and maintaining network security protocols and firewalls.
- Documentation: Update network diagrams, inventory logs, and technical documentation.
- Support: Provide tier 1 and tier 2 technical support to internal staff and clients.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in network administration or IT support.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or CCNA preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and wireless access points (Cisco/Juniper experience is a plus).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (attics, crawl spaces).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility: Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
