Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues with minimal downtime
- Implement security protocols to protect network infrastructure
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for network-related concerns
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and optimize as needed
- Collaborate with IT team on network upgrades and expansion projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid California driver's license for occasional client site visits
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
