Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, and in-person for hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, printers, and network peripherals.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ticket queues to ensure timely resolution of user issues.
- Collaborate with the IT team to perform regular system updates, patches, and security checks.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and procedures accurately in the ticketing system.
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting to diagnose connectivity problems and restore service.
- Assist in the setup of new employee workstations and provide user training on standard office software.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or IT preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment and peripherals (up to 30 lbs).
- Current enrollment in an IT-related degree program is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
