Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (Splunk, Enterprise SIEM) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks and external assets.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies and compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Investigate security incidents, root-cause analysis, and prepare detailed incident reports for management review.
- Perform user access reviews and manage the security clearance process for personnel.
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch vulnerabilities and secure network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proven ability to work independently in a part-time role while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
