Role Overview
The Part-Time Cybersecurity Analyst will support our SOC (Security Operations Center) operations, conduct security assessments, and assist in the implementation of best-in-class security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Assist in the investigation and remediation of security breaches and malware infections.
- Document security incidents, procedures, and technical configurations for team knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks and malware analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
