Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Response: Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Incident Management: Assist in the triage and investigation of security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Compliance & Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA frameworks by auditing access controls and configurations.
- Security Awareness Training: Collaborate with the IT team to educate stakeholders on security best practices and phishing prevention.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, SSCP, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Tools Experience: Proficiency with security tools such as FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, or CrowdStrike.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document technical findings clearly.
