Role Overview:
In this pivotal position, you will act as the first line of defense for our proprietary systems. You will monitor security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Enforce security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data assets.
- Collaborate with the full-time engineering team to patch vulnerabilities and implement security best practices.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for audit purposes.
- Conduct regular security awareness training sessions for staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is required.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
- Tools: Strong knowledge of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Communication: Excellent ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
