Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect anomalous activities
- Investigate security incidents, including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access attempts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure NIST and ISO 27001 compliance
- Conduct threat intelligence research and provide actionable security recommendations
- Participate in security audits and risk mitigation planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in cybersecurity operations, security analysis, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
