Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm).
- Conduct daily vulnerability scanning and risk assessments to identify potential weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents and potential breaches promptly.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT teams to configure firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Current CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with intrusion detection systems (IDS) and endpoint protection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
- Must be available to work part-time hours (approx. 20-25 hours per week).
