Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and suspicious network activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop incident response playbooks and execute breach containment protocols
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and access control policies
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS standards
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical skills for threat hunting and log correlation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication for documentation and reporting
- Basic knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) preferred
