Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Continuously monitor network traffic and system logs using SIEM tools to identify suspicious activities and potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and recovery to minimize business impact.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps in our hardware and software environments.
- Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Policy Enforcement: Collaborate with IT teams to enforce access controls, implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and manage user permissions.
- Reporting: Generate detailed security reports for management and stakeholders, providing actionable insights on the organization's security posture.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications: Active certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CCNA Security are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, Symantec).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to detect anomalies and potential threats.
