Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to potential cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation actions
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification required
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Effective communication skills for reporting complex technical issues
