Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation efforts
- Analyze malware and implement containment strategies
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and policies
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats and mitigation techniques
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and log analysis methodologies
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active Arizona driver's license (occasional on-site visits required)
