Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-prem environments
- Incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
- Perform forensic investigations and root cause analysis of security events
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations (SOC, threat detection, or incident response)
- Certifications: Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and NIST frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective written/verbal communication for technical/non-technical stakeholders
