Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat intelligence and anomalous activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-prem systems
- Investigate security incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement zero-trust architecture principles
- Generate executive security dashboards and compliance reports (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years hands-on experience with SIEM tools and threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Python/SQL for security automation tasks
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with AWS/Azure security services and cloud architectures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
