Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and investigate cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Analyze malware and suspicious activities using forensic tools
- Implement security controls and patches to mitigate identified risks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate monthly security metrics reports for client stakeholders
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (required)
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
