Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and audits
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint security
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response protocols and forensic tools
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
