Responsibilities
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks.
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activities and security breaches.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to ensure compliance with SOC2 and HIPAA standards.
- Perform routine security audits and patch management updates.
- Collaborate with the IT department to secure cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Document security procedures and incident reports for stakeholder review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
