Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices architecture for real-time transaction processing systems
- Lead debugging and optimization of production issues during peak nighttime operational windows
- Collaborate with global DevOps teams to maintain 99.99% uptime for cloud infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical documentation initiatives
- Drive CI/CD pipeline improvements for continuous delivery of financial APIs
- Contribute to security-first development practices for PCI-compliant systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Java/Python/C#)
- Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration (Docker/K8s)
- Proven track record in high-availability financial systems or similar mission-critical environments
- Strong background in distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- CI/CD proficiency (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent)
- Relevant night shift or global team collaboration experience preferred
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
