Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other data communication systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Manage network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect company data.
- Perform regular system backups and participate in disaster recovery planning.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding network connectivity and hardware.
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and changes for future reference.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ is highly preferred.
- Proven experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco/Juniper preferred).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends if necessary.
