Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security protocols to mitigate emerging cyber threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed forensic reports
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Stay current on latest attack vectors and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
