Responsibilities
- Install and Configure: Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance and traffic to ensure optimal uptime and identify potential bottlenecks or security threats.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues for internal clients and external stakeholders.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain network security protocols, VPNs, and firewall rules to protect sensitive data.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configuration changes, and troubleshooting logs.
- Cabling: Perform physical network cabling (Cat6, fiber optics) and rack-and-stack server equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: Preferred: Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Juniper JNCIA.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing and switching (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
