Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine hardware and software upgrades, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling.
- Ensure network security compliance by configuring firewalls and enforcing security protocols.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding network operations.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes for future reference.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCNP are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware and protocols.
- Proven experience with network troubleshooting and hardware installation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
